Lane Cove Swim Club extends our sincerest thanks to Lane Cove Council, who have generously donated funds to our Club that will enhance the overall experience for our swimmers and members.
Lane Cove Swim Club used the grant funds to purchase essential coaching equipment that supports swimmers of all ages and abilities, directly contributing to the goals outlined in Lane Cove Council’s Community Strategic Plan, particularly objectives 1.2 and 1.4.
The club invested in a new Autocoach system, Finis stopwatches, and a high-visibility pace clock — tools that significantly enhance the quality and effectiveness of our coaching sessions.
These upgrades benefit our youngest squad members, starting from age 8, right through to our oldest swimmers in their 70s.
The new equipment allows coaches to deliver more accurate feedback, run more structured sessions, and track swimmer progress more efficiently, fostering skill development and motivation across all levels.
By improving the quality of training, we’ve encouraged greater participation, helping to reduce social isolation and promote regular physical activity, particularly among older adults and youth. They also support the long-term functionality of our club, aligning with Council’s objective to upgrade community facilities.
Now a vital part of our daily training, the tools help create a more inclusive, engaging, and health-focused environment.
We sincerely thank Lane Cove Council for their generous support, which has allowed us to strengthen our club and better serve the local community.
